I had some time for a quick project last weekend...
I found these totally rad
Terra cotta trees at Homegoods a few weeks ago.
Honestly, we cannot have anything in our yard...
it either gets chewed up or blown away!
My very first thought when I saw them
was that they would definitely be survivors!
But the only problem was, they were kinda ugly. ;)
I was planning to run to Hendersonville to pick up some of that gorgeous Antibes Green Chalk Paint, by Annie Sloan Chalk Paint...but I just could not find time to get over there with the La Plates show & the stomach bug & the Turkey day preparations...
Isn't is pretty,
Antibes Green...
sigh...
My mommy is an art teacher.
She's the original crafting tramp in our family. ;)
She lent me some pretty green acrylic paint &
some totally RAD gold.
That pretty green just spiffed them right up!
Then I went back over them a bit with the gold....
I finished them off with some Annie Sloan,
delicious Primer Red dots...
(( see if you can guess what I used to make my dots...))
I finished them off with
a good coat of clear gloss spray paint.
& the best part...
they FIT right on top of my urn pots
on the front porch,
just like they were MADE to go there!
I love that!
I'm pretty tickled with them. :)
Sharing today over on
Go check out all the awesome stuff over there!
Hope you guys have a GREAT Wednesday!!

So so cute. Love antibes green.
ReplyDeleteLove these!
ReplyDeleteThose are so cute. In looking I noticed your front porch. What type of treatment is on the concrete? Is it painted or is something mixed in with they poured the flooring?
ReplyDeleteYou are a very talented decorator!
If/when you get tired of those precious trees, please please please lemme have em! They're PRESH!!!!
